Steel is light and strong. It does not burn. It is termite-proof, borer-proof and it is dimensionally stable. In other words, it will not shrink or warp. Walls and ceilings tend not to have ripples or bumps in them. There are no “nail pops” in plasterboard walls, no shrinkage in floor framing and no sagging roofs. Using steel is environmentally responsible.

Yes. Statewide Constructions manufacture all frames and trusses in our own manufacturing plant and we have a computerised CAD drawing and design program. It is simple for you to make alterations to our designs.

Our ready-to-assemble prices include delivery to any building site in mainland Tasmania.

Yes. You will need to have the site prepared. Our buildings are designed to sit on footings. We will provide you with a plan for the footings.

Yes. You will need to arrange a soil report or, as it is sometimes called, a site classification.

We will commence your structural drawings after receipt of your drafting deposit. We will need the levels of your site, to enable the floor system to be designed and engineer approved. Your plans are then ready for submission to Council. After Council approval and receipt of finance, the manufacture of your home begins, and your Statewide consultant will give you an indication of the anticipated timeframe. (NOTE: The time taken to manufacture your home is dependent upon both the design you have chosen and our factory production levels at the time.)

This depends on the size of the building and delays that might be caused by the weather. A simple ready-to-assemble home can be built to lock-up in a little over one week.
